The Biblical definition of depravity.
A The nature of depravity. When man first sinned he died spiritually and became enslaved to sin-But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die (Genesis 2:17); Jesus answered them. .. Whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin (John 8:34). 1. Man is spiritually dead (not well or sick) but dead in trespasses and sins And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins (Ephesians 2:1). 2. Man’s defiled condition is passed on to his children-Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me (Psalm 51:5). 3. Depravity does not mean that man does not have morals which are concerned with man’s relation to man, because depravity is concerned with man’s relationship with a Holy God.

The definition of humanism-a world view that envisions humanity as the supreme factor of reality. God is equated with humanity. Humanism is the belief that man shapes his own destiny. It is a constructive philosophy, a non-theistic religion, a way of life ….. The American Humanist Association is a non-profit, tax exempt organization incorporated in the early 1940’s in Illinois for educational and religious purposes (Membership Brochure, What is Humanism?).

Anthropology: Up from Ape or Down from Adam

The word anthropology is constructed from two Greek words: anthropos meaning man, and logos meaning words concerning or study of. The word
doctrine is from a Greek word that means teachings. Therefore, the doctrine of anthropology is the study of the teachings about man.
Everyone has asked the basic anthropological question, Where did I come from? The Bible answers this perplexing question and provides teachings
(doctrines) about the creation and history of man. Anthropology must be Bible-centered. Anthropology is helpful for us today because it
provides us with ensample (or example) and admonition (cautionary advice or warning). A better understanding of Biblical anthropology will
stop prideful boasting and direct attention to the majesty of our sovereign God!-11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and
they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
131here hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above thatye are able;
but  with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:11-13).
