The word anthropology is constructed from two Greek words: anthropos meaning man, and logos meaning words concerning or study of. The word
doctrine is from a Greek word that means teachings. Therefore, the doctrine of anthropology is the study of the teachings about man.
Everyone has asked the basic anthropological question, Where did I come from? The Bible answers this perplexing question and provides teachings
(doctrines) about the creation and history of man. Anthropology must be Bible-centered. Anthropology is helpful for us today because it
provides us with ensample (or example) and admonition (cautionary advice or warning). A better understanding of Biblical anthropology will
stop prideful boasting and direct attention to the majesty of our sovereign God!-11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and
they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
131here hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful who will not suffer you to be tempted above thatye are able;
but  with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it (I Corinthians 10:11-13).
